Pour ceux qui n'auraient pas visité récemment l'excellent site de Luc Devroye,
voici le message qui s'affiche désormais sur la plupart de ses pages. Je lui
ai demandé des explications...

"Shutdown message
I have decided to shut down my font links pages. The only pages that will
remain active are those that are related to my own creations (fonts and font
software) and my font research.
I apologize to those who were counting on my links to discover the font world.
I wanted to help newcomers and specialists alike, but a few unpleasant emails
during the last few months hastened the decision. Especially the condescending
correspondence from Clive Bruton (Typeright) and Simon Daniels (Microsoft)
hurt. In addition, some people are checking my pages to locate sites with some
commercial fonts, and are contacting (and sometimes threatening) the site
owners. I do not want to help these people. The decision to close is my own:
no one forced me.
I will probably be back some day. To all of you who supported my work on my
pages, I thank you."

C'est plutôt sybillin. Il reste quelques pages consultables sur
http://jeff.cs.mcgill.ca/~luc/
Elles restent très recommandables. C'était un site très sobre, très complet,
sans la moindre publicité. Totalement "info-service", pas du tout polémique.
