C'est pas mal, non ? Typography. Of InDesign's robust typographic tools, perhaps the most interesting is its ability to handle line composition. Working in conjunction with hyphenation and justification tables, the composition engine adjusts spacing over a single line or multiple lines. With the multiple-line composer, you can have InDesign look backward and forward at any number of lines across a range of text to balance spacing and line color. For example, before InDesign breaks a line, it will look ahead to see how that break affects subsequent lines. If bad breaks occur further down the page, the multiline composer reconsiders the original break and looks for optimal spacing across all lines. Patrick Cazaux Cadratin patrick.cazaux@xxxxxxxxxxx
