Cela dit, d'autres prénoms commencent par un E non accentué, tel Edmond, Enguerrand. 

[T.V.] Logique, au moins en apparence.
Dans Edmond, le E est suivi de deux consonnes, donc se prononce É.
Et pas de É à Enguerrand (an-gué-ran) !
