It is imho OK. I also juggled with a simplification (it is as you wish,
there is a nuance though). Alternate title:

« Technologies de l'information - Modèle d'utilisation de caractères
graphiques et de glyphes ».

However this one would appear to be nearer to an instruction manual (to me
at least -- a "how to" manual). It depends on what you think it is really.
