Mais non, no promises!

I read Jean Méron first, so I'm only about 20 pages into _Refléxions_, but I
think today I can finish section 1.1, Gestion typographique de base. Finding
translations for some of the typographic terms is challenging, and
colloquial expressions leave me behind, so I'm reading more slowly than
expected. And also, even in this section on "basic typography", there are
ideas I have not heard expressed before, that are worth mulling over. By the
way, is Jean Méron independently wealthy? I checked on pricing for 3B2, and
was quoted $10,000 for a single workstation license...Ouf!

At any rate, I will continue reading _Refléxions_ and post my comments so
far later today.

What is a good translation of "talus gauche/talus droit"? I have never
encountered the English expressions "beard" and "shoulder" used, but it
sounds like the profile of the letter -- pardon, I should say "glyph" (ou
peut-être, gleef en français ;^))
